By using the 13.7m radio telescope of Purple Mountain Observatory, the
CO J=1-0 rotational transition spectra(115.27120 GHz) of Comet
Hale-Bopp were taken from Dec. 10,1996 to Jan. 2,1997 and from Mar. 25
to Apr. 4,1997. From the observational spectra, the fact of the blue
shift of the observed geocentric velocities from the corresponding
anticipated geocentric velocities is noticed and the production rate of
CO molecule has been roughly estimated.
